Starting in March 2026, employers and job seekers can use 47 new Skill Level 1–3 roles that are now eligible for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). This growth fits with New Zealand’s ongoing move from ANZSCO to the new NOL, which makes sure that immigration rules are in line with current job market needs.

Three jobs—pet groomer, nanny, and kennel hand—are now at Skill Level 4, up from Level 3. Starting on March 9, 2026, new applications will be accepted:

3. Job Check by the Employer: Your employer must post the job for at least 14 days and show that they tried to hire New Zealanders first.
4. File Your AEWV Application: Send in your application for an Accredited Employer Work Visa along with any required documents.
