Canada Agri-Food Pilot Program to Welcome 1,010 Applicants in 2025

Changes to the Canada Agri-Food Pilot in 2025

Reduced Application Cap:

In 2025, only 1,010 applications will be accepted, down from 2,750 in 2024.

Application Deadline:

They will take submissions until May 14, 2025, or receive the cap, whichever comes first.

Canada Agri-Food Pilot – Eligibility Requirements

The Canada Agri-Food Pilot is for highly skilled experienced workers in certain industries. To qualify for permanent residency, applicants must meet the following criteria:

2. Job Offer:

  • Applicants must have a full-time, permanent job offer in a qualifying occupation and in an eligible industry.

3. Educational Background:

  • A foreign credential is verified through an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) and a Canadian high school diploma, or equivalent.

4. Language Proficiency:

  • English or French at CLB Level 4 or above.

5. Settlement Funds:

  • Sufficient money to support yourself and your family in Canada unless you have proof that you are working in Canada on a valid work permit.

Proof of Work Experience

To validate their work experience, applicants must provide acceptable documentation, including:

  • Employer Reference Letter:

  • Letter of Employment: Proof of employment status.
  • T4 Statements:
  • Paystubs:
