As of November 8, 2024, eligible international students can:
✔ Work up to 24 hours per week during academic sessions.
✔ Work full-time during scheduled breaks (winter/summer holidays, Reading Week).
These changes help students gain work experience while managing their studies effectively.
You cannot work off-campus if you’re in:
❌ General interest programs (e.g., ESL/FSL for self-improvement)
❌ Prerequisite courses before your main DLI program
Academic Program: University/college programs requiring high school completion
Professional Training: Accredited courses for professionals (doctors, engineers, etc.)
Vocational Training: Job-specific skills (technical, trade, or organizational training)
Scheduled Breaks: Official holidays (max 150 days per break, 180 days/year)
Start working only after beginning your program—no work before studies commence
24 hours/week max during academic sessions
Full-time during breaks (winter/summer holidays, Reading Week)
Final semester part-time students can still work 24 hours/week
Between programs? Work full-time if starting a new program within 150 days
Intensive programs without breaks: Max 24 hours/week throughout
Full-time students turning part-time: Must stop working immediately
