MALTA WORK PERMIT
If you are a non-EU citizen and are moving to Malta for work, then you need to apply for a visa and work permit. There are different kinds of visas for this like the ‘Short-stay visa, Schengen (short-term visa or C Visa, depending on how long you are planning to stay. The work permit can be in the following permits:

- Single Entry – eligible for single and uninterrupted stay for 3 months, not more
- Double entry –Stay twice in Malta, both together not exceeding 3 months
- Multiple entry –Can stay in Malta any number of times, but the total time shouldn’t exceed 3 months.
National Long-Stay Visa or D Visa
The D Visa is issued for people needing to stay in the country for more than 3 months.
Work Permit
The work permit required when you are working in Malta is the Single Permit. This permit is submitted by the employer. This is valid for one year, with a processing time of 2-3 months. The Single Permit is also known as e-residence.


Process
- The process for getting the work permit is done under the guidance of an experienced consultant.
- Getting all the documentation for the visa approval and sending them to the employer
- The employer will then submit the paperwork to Malta Identity services
- The Malta identity services issues the authorisation letter to work in Malta Apply for a visa.
- This is done with VFS Malta or Malta Embassy in your country of residence.
